Meet Snickers

Maybe you just need a Snickers.  This little girl is just like her namesake, mostly sweet with some nuts. She and her siblings came to UTH under socialized and with ringworm. Ringworm treatment is lengthy and not the best way to socialize kittens. We thought this hissy little girl might never like people, but she has become a playful kitty that thinks people attention is actually kind of great. She gets frightened and runs off if you try to approach her, but if you sit for a minute, she will come to you and let you pet and play with her as long as you want. She still isn’t a big fan of being picked up and held, but she is making progress on that. Snickers’ ideal home will include an adult, male, cat. She was in a communal room with an adult male and she quickly became obsessed with him. At her new foster home, she shares her room with another male cat. He mostly tolerates her, and she doesn’t seem to notice that he’s not that into her. She always tries to include herself in whatever he is doing. Snickers will need some time to adjust to new people who will respect where she is on her journey towards becoming a love bug. She would probably do best in a home that doesn’t have very young children that might come on too strong for her. Older children who won’t chase or grab her would likely be fun for her. If you give her a chance, she will certainly grow into a loving family member.

Adoption Process
Home visits, fees vary, adoption contract required. Adopter agrees to return animal to the rescue if they are unable to care for them.
