Laramie Animal Welfare Society

We support the City of Laramie Animal Shelter by paying for medical care for all the surrendered animals and paying for all of their adoptions to be spayed/neutered. We also provide fosters for special needs animals and bottle fed kittens in the City Shelter Provide a spay/neuter coupon to community members. Offer a feral cat TNR program in Albany county and have a kitten foster/socialize/adopt program. We also do some compassionate fostering for community members that unexpectedly cannot provide short term care for their animals. We also provide low cost microchipping.

Meet Emerald

Emerald is a sweet girl who loves to be in everyone’s business. She tags along room to room and settles where ever you do. She loves to cuddle and lounge in the window hammock. Emerald comes right out of her shell, acclimating well with other household animals and isn’t shy at all. 

Adoption Process
Adopters must fill out application and provide 3 references and current veterinarian (if applicable). All animals are spay/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. Contract includes commitment to keep cats indoors (unless adopting a feral to be a barn cat), keeping identification on dogs, and returning animals to LAWS if owner can no longer care for them
