Helping Shepherds of Every Color

We are Helping Shepherds of Every Color. We do not discriminate against white or other non acceptable GSD colors. We saw a need to help out GSDs, there are so many out there so we jumped in to help. Also since so many GSDs I have helped in the past were from the Humane Society of Elmore County, we can jokingly be referred to as Helping Shepherds of Elmore County

Meet Buzz

All of our dogs are housed in private homes, we do not have a store or a shelter.  We do not show dogs to interested parties until they have an approved adoption application.  If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.helpingshepherdsofeverycolor.com/adoption-application  You may also find us on facebook:  Helping Shepherds of Every Color Rescue. 10/26/24  Seriously, folks, I think I have gotten over most of the trauma. I am ready to move on to contribute to a happy family. I am still pretty young. Because cause my before is a mystery, we don't know my real age but my foster mum believes I am under 2. My foster mum, I call her FM, says I act like a puppy because I probably didn't get to before. I am a very active guy, so would really like a companion I could run or bike or hike with. Hikes would be fun. I respect fences. FM says it is good i am not an escape artist because I love to be out in my yard. I watch everything but I only bark for important things. I get excited when the horses come into view. I would like to get to know them but FM will not let me. She says I need more training and emotional control before I am ready. I guess she is right. I do not seem to have learned a lot when I was younger so there is still a lot I have to work on. But the plusses are that I am smart and willing. I am motivated both by food and attention. I love my "work" time with FM. I am at a place where I want to form that strong GSD bond. I can do the beginning stages of a lot of things. I am working on all the basic beginner's obedience moves. I have decent house manners but FM says I still need some mindfulness. I sleep quietly in my crate but, of course, I would rather be outside anyway. I am not aggressive to anyone. Not other dogs, or that snotty cat, or my vet, or kids, or anyone. While I will let you know if I see a stranger, I know that's just a friend I haven't met yet. Will you be my new forever friend or happy family?
