Rosalie and Friends

Rosalie and Friends is taking over the 501c3 organization from "Friends of the Escambia County Animal Shelter" Continuing programs include heartworm treatment sponsorship for dogs adopted through our shelter, a fospice program that places and supports senior shelter animals in a loving home and Major Medical support for cases that cannot be managed by shelter veterinarian. Our logo states "Fospice and Fixer Uppers" We are expanding to take in community animals in need to keep them from going to the shelter. The fospice animals remain under our care and the fixer uppers are placed up for adoption once the medical condition has been properly managed. Previously the fixer uppers were then transported up to a partner shelter in the northeast but we will not offer some of them for adoption locally.

Meet Myles

Myles is on the scene and ready to mingle! He took a little time in his younger months to get prepped for his debut. No more wobbly legs and bare scabby skin here! Just look at him now as a 4.5 month old gorgeous brindle boy! Myles has grown up in a home with a variety of doggy personalities and really likes the playful ones best. He would love a doggy partner that could help him enjoy his puppy years and continue be a forever friend. Myles is kennel and house trained with routine outings. He is the most reliable pup to do his business immediately when walked outside in the AMs. He knows his kennel with the fluffy bed is waiting when his fosters leave and go to bed and with a little treat dispensing toy in place he's happy to go in and wait patiently. He is very food motivated but friendly eating around other dogs and allows his fosters to handle and remove food with no aggression. He enjoys treats to help him along the way to learn new things. Myles still is a young one with a puppy mouth and habits so a forever home needs to be patient with continuing to offer toys for playtime and to help direct his energy to toys if he requests too much play from less social dogs. He has been exposed to cats and would love for them to play with him but he can eventually relax as they watch eachother from the cat tree. He loves walks on the leash and asks for hugs and snuggles routinely. If you are ready to add a new best dog friend, he would love to apply! Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery. Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful animals, we ask that you please fill out our online application:  https://form.jotform.com/223268341300041 We are a 100% volunteer organization and have to work other jobs to pay the bills. Please give us up to 48 hours to respond. Submission of an adoption application does not obligate you to adopt nor does it guarantee approval. We look forward to hearing from you
