Rosalie and Friends

Rosalie and Friends is taking over the 501c3 organization from "Friends of the Escambia County Animal Shelter" Continuing programs include heartworm treatment sponsorship for dogs adopted through our shelter, a fospice program that places and supports senior shelter animals in a loving home and Major Medical support for cases that cannot be managed by shelter veterinarian. Our logo states "Fospice and Fixer Uppers" We are expanding to take in community animals in need to keep them from going to the shelter. The fospice animals remain under our care and the fixer uppers are placed up for adoption once the medical condition has been properly managed. Previously the fixer uppers were then transported up to a partner shelter in the northeast but we will not offer some of them for adoption locally.

Meet Terrance

You seriously will never find another dog as chill and cool as Mr. Terrance. Terrance is a mid aged scruffy boy who came to us after he was found as a stray by a good samaritan. Another rescue scooped him up for safe keeping then contacted us because they know we love the oldies. Terrance is a mid aged dude at about 8 years old. He does have some vision impairment and some hearing loss, but honestly it never holds him back. He is on daily eye meds to help with his chronic dry eye. He has a bit of swagger due to an old injury in his back, but Terrance just thinks it makes him look cooler. This boy LOVES to go on adventures, run errands, get his nails done with the girls, and just be with his people. Terrance loves everyone he meets. Dogs, kids, cats, you name it. You couldn't meet a more chill dude. Terrance has been known to attempt escaping a yard to go on adventures. So a secure fenced in yard is a must and no access to doggy doors when someone isn't home. What can we say the boy likes to be on the go. Terrance is housebroken and knows how to use doggy stairs to get up to the bed for snuggles. His ideal home would be someone who isn't gone long and would love to have a friend to take places. Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery. Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful animals, we ask that you please fill out our online application: https://form.jotform.com/223268341300041 We are a 100% volunteer organization and have to work other jobs to pay the bills. Please give us up to 48 hours to respond. Submission of an adoption application does not obligate you to adopt nor does it guarantee approval. We look forward to hearing from you.

Adoption Process
Completion of adoption application followed by online and telephone screening. Home visit and signing of a contract which states animals will be a indoor family pet.
