Save a Stray

Save a Stray is a new group of old hats. We are determined to enrich the lives of the shelter pets of Mobile through spay/neuter programs, shelter medicine, and training classes. Spay/neuter progams are offered to decrease the number of pets entering our shelters. Shelter medicine will be provided for pets in our shelters so healthier pets are adopted or pulled by rescue groups. We hope to increase pet adoptions and the chances of that pet becoming a family member through training classes with shelter pets and at risk youth groups.

Meet Panda

Meet Panda! While he may not be quite as fluffy as a real panda, he’s as lovable as they are. Watching his little face light up with joy when you get home, will brighten the darkest corner of your heart. Panda is a bouncy puppy in all the best ways and absolutely loves to play with other dogs. For being four months old, Panda is well mannered and when outside prefers to stick close to home versus wandering away. This adorable fella will come when called and lives to be petted by anyone who can spare a free hand (or two). How can you resist this perfect, precious puppy?   If Panda sounds like the one for you and your lifestyle, please read info below regarding adopting. Save a Stray pets are in foster homes.  Please complete an application at www.saveastray.org to make arrangements to meet our pets.  Out of state meet and greets are conducted via FaceTime. This pet has been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, and is on heartworm and flea prevention and has adoption fee of $175 (local) - $500 (depending on transport destination).  Thank you for considering adding a homeless pet to your family.

Adoption Process
application, interview, possible home check, adoption contract if approved, Save a Stray will rehome if needed
