Meet Addie! This 8–9-month-old sweetheart weighs 43.6 lbs and is still working on reaching a healthy weight. When she first arrived as a stray, she weighed under 40 lbs and was dragging a 20 lb chain—but those days are behind her, and she’s already gaining both weight and confidence! Addie is the definition of resilience and joy. She’s super sweet, full of energy, and smart as a whip. She learned to sit and fetch a tennis ball in just minutes! While she’s still working on her manners (she’s a little bouncy and hyper), she’s eager to learn and would thrive with someone willing to teach her the ropes. An active family or person would be a perfect match for her playful spirit. She gets along well with other dogs, but due to her prey drive, she’s not a good fit for homes with cats. We'd also recommend no toddlers or babies for now—Addie’s excitement can be a bit much for the tiniest humans. Most of all, Addie is ready to trade the heavy chain and hard ground for a cozy couch and loving home. If you can offer her the guidance, activity, and affection she deserves, she’ll be your loyal adventure buddy for life. Her adoption fee is $110, which covers her spay (before going home), distemper-parvo and rabies vaccines, vet exam, fecal test, and basic dewormer. To meet Addie, please call 256-362-5856 to schedule an appointment. She’s waiting to start her next chapter—with you! 7
