Scrappy (A133517) is a 1-year-2-month old rottie x pit mix who weighed exactly 80 lbs at intake!02/22/25 Scrappy, previously known as Pacheco, was very reluctantly brought back to the shelter because his previous family had some major life changes occur that prevented them from being able to care for him. Scrappy is a big, goofy lover who does not quite realize how big he is! He was said to get along with humans of all ages, but he does not quite understand his size in comparison to babies. He previously did great with the 7-year-old in his prior home! Scrappy was also said to do well with other dogs and even cats! He has been known to jump on people, but he was said to be kennel trained and housebroken and to ride well in the car. He already knows some basic commands, such as sit, down, come, up, and no bark. He was said to generally mind well and be gentle when playing. If you are interested in meeting this affectionate and outgoing lovebug, please give us a call!02/10/24 This adorable little huddle of puppies are ready to be the MVP in your life! They arrived at the shelter because their previous owner did not have anyone that could look after the pups. They were described as being shy but friendly, and they have been a little timid upon arrival at the shelter. Puppies are a lot of work, and these little ones have some typical puppy habits to work on, such as being vocal, chewing and scratching. Enrolling them in puppy class would be a great idea, not only to work on basic obedience but also to help with socializing! They have been said to do well with adults and other dogs. They do not yet have experience with babies or children. If planning to introduce them into a home with kids, please make sure the children understand proper dog etiquette and approach. Especially given their shy nature, these pups may not feel comfortable with sudden loud movements when they first arrive in their new homes. Whether you are rooting for the Chiefs or Forty-Niners in the Super Bowl this year (or are still upset about the Lions), please give the shelter a call about becoming the forever home for one of these pups!
