Meet SAGE

Sage (A137942) is an 9-year-old shepherd mix who weighed over 56 lbs at intake!04/08/25 Sage is back at the shelter due to no fault of her own. They stated she was wonderful but they had a family emergency and could not care for her during this time. Sage is still happy girl awaiting her perfect fit! Please read her bio below to learn more about her in a home setting! 03/29/25 This sweet girl with the freckles is Sage! Sage arrived at the shelter with her very good friend Bucky Barnes due to housing changes. these two have quite the resume! They know all sorts of tricks and have even each earned their Canine Good Citizen ribbons! Bucky is a pretty easy-going guy, while Sage is a little more sassy. While we are not requiring they be adopted together, they absolutely love each other! They have both been said to do well with humans of all ages, but they have been known to jump on people which may not be appreciate by small kids. They can be picky about the other dogs they want to associate with, and they have a high prey drive. We recommend using caution around other dogs. We also recommend their next home or homes not have any cats or pocket pets. They are used to being kenneled when left unattended and were said to be housebroken. They can be rough when playing, especially with each other. Bucky and Sage were said to ride well in the car, and they have been known to get into the trash if given the chance. If you are interested in meeting either Sage, Bucky or the pair, please give us a call!
