Jake (A134609) is a 5-year-old Siberian Husky who weighed just under 40 pounds on intake! 03/01/25 Mister Jake is back at the shelter due to no fault of his own. He was said to do well with kids and babies. He prefers women to men and was said to be okay around other dogs. Jake was described as being a fabulous companion! He is said to be housebroken and to ride well in the car. He has been known to chew, so make sure he has plenty of appropriate chew toys available! If you are interested in meeting Jake, please give us a call!06/03/24 Jake is back at the shelter after a brief adoption! His adoptive owner had nice things to say about him but did not find him to be the right fit for her. Jake was described as a wonderful dog who was attentive, responsive, playful, and affectionate! He loves going on walks and getting belly rubs! It was noted that he is a high-energy breed and is looking for an owner who can keep him both mentally and physically stimulated. He was stated to walk nicely on a leash and has the potential to be a good skijor buddy! His prior owner did note that he has some anxiety so providing him with appropriate outlets is important. He may enjoy having another canine companion in his next home or active owners who can keep him entertained and happy. They also noted that he appears to have a high prey drive, which is common with his breed, so ensure he is properly restrained when outdoors and he would do best in a home without small critters. Jake is a very sweet boy, and we hope he finds his perfect fit! If you are interested in meeting Jake, please let us know! 05/15/24 This handsome pup is Jake! Jake was surrendered to the shelter because his prior owner felt they were not home enough to give him the attention and love he deserved. Jake was described as a calm husky. He was said to enjoy lounging on the couch! His prior owner stated that he does great with adults and tolerates kiddos but may prefer a kid-free home. He was also said to do well with other dogs but had limited patience for the high-energy puppy in the home. He has no history with cats, pocket pets, or livestock. Please ensure you are doing appropriate introductions with all new animals. Jake was said to be kennel trained, housebroken, and to know the basic command of sit. If you are interested in meeting Jake, please let us know!
