Savvy (A134628) is a 2-year-old lab mix who weighed nearly 80 lbs at intake!02/15/25 This handsome guy is Savvy! Savvy arrived at the shelter as a stray, so we do not know much about his history. While at the shelter, he has been doing a good job of keeping his kennel clean, so he may be housebroken. He has also been very eager to greet every member of the care staff that he sees! Savvy needs some help with his manners. He does not seem to understand how large he is, and he does tend to jump on people. Please keep this in mind, especially if you have little ones in the home. We do not know how Savvy does around kids or other animals. Please make sure all introductions are done safely and in a controlled manner. If you are not familiar with performing proper introductions, we highly recommend doing some research prior to adopting. Savvy has been interested in the other dogs at the shelter, and he has been vocal at times, but we are not sure if the interest is just friendly and exuberant in nature or not. We also have the impression that he may have a high prey drive, but we cannot be sure. Please use extreme caution if you have cats or other small animals in the home.
