Flash was recently returned because his original adopters felt that he was âuntrainable'. When Flash arrived back to the shelter, he was very fearful and shut down. Luckily, one of our foster homes took him in and helped him become his happy self again and supported him while he overcame any traumatic feelings he had! Flash is a playful and active boy who will thrive best with having a positive outlet for his energy. In his foster home he has had the opportunity to play with other dogs and has done great. He may enjoy having a nice friend in his new home! We do suspect that he will chase small animals, including cats based on him being a playful husky! Though we do believe that Flash lived with children in his previous home, the owners did not complete his paperwork so we can not confirm that. Overall, Flash has done well with meeting new people but please keep in mind that he will need time to adapt and may still feel a little shy. Flash has proven to us that he is absolutely trainable and actually very smart! It helps that he is a people pleaser and just wants to make his people happy. Flash is potty trained and will whine at the door when he needs to go potty. He is also crate trained but was very fearful of the kennel in the shelter, so please be sure to take this process slow, until he knows that he is safe and secure! Flash walks great on a leash and knows the cues âstâ, âcomeâ, âshakeâ and âlay downâ. Flash is such a sweet boy with a gentle soul. He has been through a lot, but we are so proud of all the progress he has made! We want nothing more than to see Flash succeed. If you feel that Flash would be a good fit for your home, we would love for you to come by and meet him! Please speak with shelter staff if you are interested in meeting Flash because he is still currently in his foster home, and we will need to schedule with his foster mom!
