Do you have a little room on your lap for Zelda? That's her favorite place to be. What she lacks in size she more than makes up for in personality. We can't imagine how a 10-year-old, 7-pound little Yorkie came to be out on the street alone. She acts much younger than her years, and enjoys roaming around the yard and lying on the sunny patio. She is house-trained and could probably use a doggie door, but isn't big enough to work the one at her foster home. Sometimes she piggy backs though the dog door if one of the bigger dogs in her foster home goes through first. If you're home a lot, have a safe yard and looking for the ideal companion, your search is over. Zelda will be happy to be with you all day and night. She asks very little in return for the pleasure she gives. Just come and meet her and you'll see what we mean. Zelda gets along very well with other dogs and would probably be ok with a cat. She likes people but would probably prefer a quieter home without small children running around. Zelda is spayed, up to date on shots and microchipped. If you are interested in making Zelda a permanent member of your family, please fill out our online application at:* https://helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application/ . Zelda’s adoption fee of $350 helps with medical expenses of the rescue. Thank you for “thinking rescue”. Phoenix metro adoptions only. * An application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up.
Adoption Process
Adopters must fill out an application, complete an interview, sign a contract, and pay a fee to help cover the cost of vet care, boarding, etc.
