Arizona Golden Rescue

Arizona Golden Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c) (3), charitable organization whose mission is to rescue displaced Golden Retrievers and mostly-Golden Retriever mixes that may have been abused, abandoned, neglected, unwanted, or surrendered by their owners due to previously unforeseen circumstances and to find new, permanent homes for them. Rescued dogs are given a complete veterinary exam and their vaccines are updated. They are also microchipped, spayed or neutered, and tested for valley fever and heartworm. The rescued dogs are then placed into Foster homes or "Foster With Intent To Adopt" homes till they are permanently placed with their new "Forever Homes." Arizona Golden Rescue is a "Non-Shelter Rescue" with all dogs staying in Foster homes till adopted. We do it all for the dogs!

Meet Oakley (ADOPTION PENDING)

OAKLEY has been spoken for and is placed with an adoptive family awaiting finalization. OAKLEY is a 4-year-old female Golden Doodle that does shed.  She is not spayed, but AGR will take care of that expense.  She is described as high energy but with proper exercise and training she will be a great dog. While children were in the household, Oakley’s exposure was being petted through a dog run. Unfortunately, Oakley comes from a divorced household with an owner that travels and does not have time to give her the life she deserves.  Oakley has been boarded during these travels and does well with other pups in the play groups. She has not been around cats. She does have a fear of lightning and fireworks but has no problem with loud noises or planes flying over. She will thrive in a household that can spend time with her, train her and love her – she is very energetic and still has a lot of puppy in her. Her foster reported her as possessive of her people and needs to be the ONLY DOG in a home.

Adoption Process
Adoption Application, Home Visit. Membership required before dog is place $30.00 Single, $45.00 Family. Dog adoption fees range from $500 for dog under 2 years old and goes down as low as $300 as dog for older dogs.
