Please contact: [email protected] Meet Lucy – A Sweet & Smart Blue Heeler Looking for Her Forever Home My wife and I rescued Lucy, a beautiful 2-year-old female Blue Heeler, on February 25th in Sarah, MS. We are located in Hernando, MS (near Memphis, TN) and are looking for the perfect home where she can thrive. Lucy is incredibly sweet, well-behaved, and potty trained. She is very smart, already responding to her name, but she could easily learn a new one. She loves attention and human companionship. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, Lucy and our resident dogs are not getting along due to personality and temperament clashes. Because of this, we feel it is best to find her a loving home where she can be happy and comfortable. Health & Vet Care: Lucy was seen by our vet on February 26th, where she received:✅ Annual vaccines (including Bordetella)✅ Heartworm test (positive) – She has started Doxycycline (30-day course) and received a ProHeart6 injection for heartworm prevention.✅ Roundworm treatment✅ Ehrlichia (tick disease) treatment started✅ Spayed (confirmed by vet)✅ Started on Credelio for flea & tick prevention No microchip What Lucy Needs in a Home: A loving and committed owner who will continue her vet care and heartworm treatment. A home without other dogs (or with a slow and experienced introduction process). A fenced yard or regular exercise – she is a Blue Heeler and would thrive with mental and physical stimulation. Someone who will give her love and stability – she deserves it! Rehoming Process: We are committed to finding the right home for Lucy. We will: Evaluate potential adopters to ensure she goes to a responsible, loving home. Assist with transport within reason. Ask for a small adoption fee to ensure she goes to a serious, committed adopter (or we can discuss a donation to a rescue organization). Lucy is such a wonderful dog, and we truly wish we could have kept her. She deserves a home where she can be the center of attention and feel safe and loved. If you are interested in adopting Lucy or know someone who might be, please reach out!

Adoption Process
We are not a shelter with a facility where you can visit our pets. All rescued pets live in our own homes, where they are evaluated and cared for until they find their ideal adoptive family. We do our best to to make the best match for pet and new family. We carefully screen prospective homes and require all applicants to go through an adoption application process. Everyone who wishes to adopt an animal must fill out a pre-adoption survey. Once it is approved, we will review the contract with you to ensure that the animal will be cared for appropriately. Standard Donations for adoptions are $125 for Dogs and $75 for Cats. Donations cover up to date shots, spay/neuter, heart worm screening and treatment, feline AIDS and leukemia tests and other veterinary care.
