Meet Luke
3/20/25 Luke is looking for a loving family after being rescued from being dumped (multiple times- see backstory) in the woods. He is about 14 weeks old and weighs 24 lbs. He loves cuddles, but his favorite thing to do is play tug of war and play chase with his brother. Luke is doing good with crate training and being potty trained with a clicker and treats. He needs a slow feeder bowl for meals because he eats too fast and fed separately due to being starved in the woods. He has not been cat tested , but plays with the other foster dogs.. up to date on vaccinations, dewormer and monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention pill.Backstory: Hank and Luke's sad story Please be our happy ending!❤️ Hi everyone, my rescuer named me Luke and my brother Hank. Our POS owner dumped us in freezing temperatures in the woods in rural Arkansas. We were scared, cold and hungry. The first week, we thought we got lucky when people found us. They took pics and posted us on Facebook. No one wanted us, so the people put us back in the woods. The second week, different people found us, posted our pics and put us back in the woods when again, no one wanted us. My rescuer saw the second post a few days later and spent days looking for us, but was unable to find us. The third week, we wandered up to a house, during an ice storm, and the lady posted us on Facebook.. My rescuer saw the post! They picked us up!! We survived without being eaten by coyotes or dying from hunger! We were taken to a warm house with comfy beds, fresh water, toys and several small feedings a day to get our bodies use to having food. The next day, we went to the vet, got our first set of puppy shots, dewormer, and a flea/tick/heartworm prevention monthly pill. The vet guessed we are about 10 to 12 weeks old.. Our rescuer has senior rescues, so our puppy shenanigans aren't a good mix. We are looking for forever loving homes that will continue to let us live inside and be your best friend. Please be the happy ending to our sad beginning.Located in Arkansas, but transport is available.
