NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 11/14/2024: Smuckers - male - 7 years old - 18.12 (OBESE) pounds - Maltese Reason for intake: We were reached out to by a man who indicated his wife passed away and he could not take care of Smuckers and needed a good place for him to go. We took him in. He is VERY overweight. He's nearly as wide as he is long so first things first... DIET! He's also heading to our groomer in the next couple of days because he does have some matting around his legs and paws and the rest of his coat just needs a clean-up. He only needs a couple of things done at our vet and he'll be heading there the week of 11/18/2024. Stay tuned. NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption. Adoption Process
On-line adoption application required. If approved and at adoption we require adoption agreement, spay/neuter contract for puppies/kittens - adoption fees vary from $85 for felines and $150-$250 for dogs (varying depending on age, health, behavior, etc.) Adopters must have responsible dog-ownership history and stellar vet reference if applying to adopt a dog and vice versa for cats.
