Meet Louise- URGENT - FEES WAIVED
11/26/24 Louise showed up as a dumped dog in a very bad part of town, where there are many known dog fighters who are just waiting to get dogs like her to train their fighting dogs. Louise had a mama and brother at the time she showed up, but they have both disappeared in the last few months. Louise was very fearful at first but has learned to trust a good samaritan who is doing her best to provide food and shelter for her, and keep her safe. Since learning to trust her, Louise has decided that all people are good. This is both good and bad. It is good in that she feels secure and safe and that makes her easier to find a home for, because she will carry those feelings with her. It is bad in that she can't differentiate between the safe people and the ones who mean her harm. And there are those in her immediate neighborhood. We are worried sick for her. Unfortunately this good sam can not bring Margo into her home - she lives in a tiny home with multiple other pets and the house is in serious disrepair. She is doing the best she can, which we appreciate. Sadly, our rescue also has no room to take Louise. We did get her spayed and brought up to date on vaccinations. We do need to get her tested for heartworms. If she is negative, she can go to a new home any time. If she is positive, we will get her treated once she has an adopter ready to take her home. Treatment would require her to be indoors where she can be monitored so it's a situation where once she has an adopter, we can move her to a boarding facility and just pay for boarding for the few weeks she would need. Until then, she is on heartworm prevention. We are worried about this sweet girl in this big scary world. She deserves so much better. Louise adores children and is great with other dogs. She is very submissive. She currently runs with her friend, Margo, who is also listed for adoption. But she has many dog friends in the neighborhood and she gets along with all of them. We would love nothing more than for Louise to find her way into a home where she can be warm and safe. Louise is a young lady, about a year old, and weighs 60lbs. We are willing to waive the adoption fee for Louise to go to a good home. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available.
