Meet Poppy

9/7/24 Poppy is a 6 mo old puppy who has lived all her life in an outdoor pen with her siblings, until now. Thankfully, an amazing foster stepped up and she is now living inside and learning the comforts of home! From her foster mom- Poppy is a sweet timid girl who is spending a lot of time sleeping behind the couch as she adjusts to her foster home, so I haven’t had a chance to get too many pics of her. She is adjusting to being inside the majority of the time. Every time I have to take the dogs out she is getting a tiny bit better on the leash. She still isn’t too sure what to do on a leash and will stay pushed up against my leg or try to get between my legs while we are going out the door. It took her a little bit to settle down for the night last night but I think that it was just sleeping in a bed was new to her. If she sees something or someone new she will wag her tail and show her interest it needs to be encouraged to go to what it is she sees. She will definitely need patience from whoever adopts her and encouragement to come out of her shell. She may always be somewhat shy and timid though.
