Meet Gomez, the French bulldog mix. Gomez is a small, squat guy with a big personality. He has caught the eyes of quite a few adopters but needs a very specific one to be successful in his adoptive home. Gomez is looking for a dog savvy adopter who understands that most dogs are not wanting to join along and tolerate all of life's adventures.He would thrive in a lower traffic, quiet home where he can just chill and occasionally go out for adventures in a nature enviornment. Busy environments with lots of passing dogs and people is not really Gomez's scene and he tends to have big feelings about it. An adopter who has experience managing dogs with big feelings is required. Gomez also requires a feline free home as kitties are just too fun to chase around. Dogs are touch and go - some are A-ok in Gomez's books while others are a hard no. He was successful in living with two large breed German Shepherds previously but not a fan of a yorkie. A home with a well matched dog may be a fit provided there is a slow introduction and management, especially in the transition. Like Goldilocks - we think that if we find just the right fit for this little shortstack, he make a great sidekick. Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
