Meet Atlas
Atlas was rescued from the West Valley Shelter where he and his siblings were surrendered at only 6 weeks of age; because they were below the legal age limit to be surrendered without a mother, they were set to be euthanized that evening! In addition, one sibling tested a faint positive for parvo...so no rescues wanted to take the chance on them...except us! And we are so glad we did. Additional testing and a week of quarantine just to be cautious proved that the "faint positive" was a false positive. The puppies gained 1.5 lbs in just a week! And they are happy, beautiful and full of love and life. The people who surrendered the puppies stated they were border collie and Australian shepherd mixes. They are currently 5.5 pounds, so we estimate they will be approximately 30-40 pounds full grown. They were born February 1st and are ready to find their forever homes now. Both of these breeds are incredibly smart and need more time devoted to their needs than some other breeds. Please keep this in mind when applying. If you are working full time and gone 8-10 hours a day, any puppy is not a good choice for you at this time in your life. Please be honest with yourself and lets not set these pups (or you) up for failure. We want forever homes for these babies and homes where they will be cherished and loved as part of the family...no matter what arises. Atlas is a little shy but inquisitive. He loves to snuggle, but needs a little time to warm up to you. He won't be the first one to run up to you. He will sit back and check you out before blundering up, but he's one of the most playful of the group. Atlas's adoption fee is $600 which includes all of his puppy vaccinations, deworming, fecal testing at vaccines appointments; rabies vaccine; microchipping and his neuter which is to be performed between 6 and 9 months. All vet services covered will be performed by one of our affiliated veterinarians. To fill out an application for adoption, please go to www.greeendogfoundation.org or for more information, email [email protected] or call Krissy at (949) 456-7032 Thank you for looking to rescue!
Adoption Process
For adults, there is a $400 adoption fee; for puppies that have been born within the rescue, there is a $500 fee. The adoption fee covers all vaccinations (including Rabies), Microchipping, Spay/Neuter, and anything else that may be needed for the animal to be as healthy as it can be (dental, tumor removal, etc.)
