Meet Hannah Montana
This dog will be at a meet and greet event on Saturday, February 25th unless he/she is adopted prior to the event with a set up home. The event is from 12 pm to 3 pm at Palo Alto's Pet Food Express. Those interested in meeting the dog can come out to our meet and greet event. We no longer do application approval onsite. Anyone adopting has been previously approved and set up to meet prior to the event. Adoption fee: $700 Hannah Montana is a 10 week old Aussie Cattle Dog puppy who came to us from a shelter. She is so stinkin' cute it should be illegal! She's a pretty typical happy, goofy puppy. We don't know for sure if she's a purebred cattle dog, but she does look like one! Adult cattle dogs typically max out around 30-35 lbs. Here is the report from her foster home. Hannah wake up around 6:30-7am in the morning and is ready to go potty outside right way. She's a typical puppy and too young to go on walks, so she spends the day playing until she crashes, wakes up and goes potty, has a snack, and then is ready for more play-time! Hannah will play until she can no longer stand. She sleeps through the night crated up and does great. Hannah is confident, independent, and excited to meet new people! Like most puppies her age, and especially herding breeds, she likes to put her mouth on everything and puppy nipping is in full gear. She will need some solid training to deter this habit. Hannah has a 40 lb foster sister and she loves to play with her. She's lucky that her foster sister is tolerant; her favorite game is to nip at her legs. She would be a great match for a home with an adult dog who will both engage in play with her and will teach her when her style of play is a bit too much. Hannah Montana is only an option for a home with dog experience in the last several years; prior herding breed experience is preferred. She is only an option for kids over the age of 10 due to her nippiness and herding tendencies.
Adoption Process
We require an application from anyone who is interested in adopting. Then we require a phone interview, followed by a meeting in person. Then if the animal is a match, we have a contract and our adoption fee which is $400.
