GEORGIAIs a lovely mature gal who still has all the drive of a border collie. She's super into toys and treats. Nice on the leash during her walks with the exception that she wants to herd cars just like a border collie with strong instincts. She likes to try and catch flies and dust particles in the air. When she gets excited or frustrated, she'll spin to relieve the built up energy. She is super easy going and friendly when it comes to meeting other dogs and people. She recently posed with a girl scout troop and especially enjoyed visiting with them. She will need someone who understands the quirks that a border collie comes with and someone who can teach her tricks, and other games that utilize that brilliant mind in that cute head of her's. Quite the little character she is. Miss Georgia currently weighs in at 38lbs.Georgia came to us with two large lipomas near her vulva and a tear to her cranial cruciate ligament. The surgery for the lipomas will be scheduled and the ligament tear will require 6-8 weeks of crate rest. We are currently looking for a suitable foster home for her. All medical is covered under our Emergency Medical Fund. If you are interested in donating, you can contact the shelter at 707-840-9132 or online at www.dogrescuers.org and specify that it is for the shelter's Emergence Medical Fund.If you're interested in meeting Georgia, please visit https://humboldtgov.org/2658/Animal-Shelter and fill out an application to be pre-approved to make an appointment.
