United Hope for Animals

We support the Baldwin Park Shelter (and have trained volunteers at other LA county shelters) animals through 2x monthly photoshoots with professional photographers. We network the animals we photograph, videotape and assess through online media and local contacts. We also support a free spay/neuter clinic in Tijuana.

Meet RICKY

#A5687106 Meet Ricky , a 6-year-old Belgian Malinois with movie star looks and a heart of gold ✨ With his sleek coat, always-alert ears, and the happiest swishy tail, this handsome boy turns heads and melts hearts. Ricky is the total package: incredibly smart, endlessly curious, and as sweet as they come — he's both people-savvy and dog-friendly! Though he's technically middle-aged, don't let that fool you — Ricky plays with the pep and enthusiasm of a pup half his age. Like many Malinois, he thrives with a job to do or a good dose of daily exercise and brain games. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s ready for adventure and snuggles, Ricky’s definitely your guy!  6 year old brown and black Belgian Malinois 75 pound neutered male Up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! However, Ricky has a few little ouchies on the tip of his tail from swishing it too much - a literal case of happy tail. He has been treated for them and they aren’t a problem, but he will need to be adopted on a health waiver, adopter to follow up with own vet for further diagnostics and potential treatment Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 3/21/25 as an owner surrender - but we have no notes and no idea why, as Ricky is the goodest of boys! Sleek and handsome, with pert ears always at attention and the happiest of swishy tails Incredibly intelligent and capable, but also sweet and kind - both people-smart and dog friendly, which makes him an excellent fit in any home!  Very curious and alert  Despite being middle aged, Ricky still has his prime years ahead of him and still plays with all the energy and enthusiasm of a young pup Much like others of his breed, he needs a job or regular exercise and mental stimulation to keep him happy and healthy - no boredom for this boy!   RICKY’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/2GYsxj9oKyY For more information, contact volunteer Lor at  [email protected] ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. For more information about the pet, the adoption process, or our program please contact the Volunteer Adoption Coordinator listed above. Because animals are adopted/rescued daily, please also check the United Hope for Animals Facebook page to see if an animal is still available OR call the Baldwin Park Shelter at 626-962-3577. When inquiring about an animal, please reference the animal’s ID number. This will enable the volunteer or Baldwin Park employee to locate the status of the pet. Thank you for supporting rescue.
