Meet Cosmo

George and Selena's pups have been getting lots of care and attention in a foster home, tucked in snug as a bug in a rug during all the rains we have been having, a big difference from the environment they came from where they had to live outside during the heat and the cold, with only their mom, Selena, to feed them, surrounded by George, Dad, and the other older pups in their pack. Abandoned by their human family when they were only four weeks old, rescued by Coastal, the littles are almost ready for their forever homes. We are now taking applications for their adoption in the hopes of having their homes ready the weekend of March 2nd when they can go home. Anthony and Ivan, other puppies from the pack, are a little older, but they are just as special as the littles, and would love a home too. Puppies are a life-long commitment. They need time, training, vet care and healthy feeding to become good canine citizens. Don't even think of adopting a puppy unless you intend to invest the time and money and commitment required, and you can expect to lose a few good shoes along the way! Please visit http://www.coastalk9gsr.org/ to learn more about our dogs. Click on available dogs to see further descriptions. If you are interested in me, please contact us at [email protected] or call (858) 779-9149. Don't forget to fill out our online application.   The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems. Our adoption process begins with completing an application on-line. A phone screening will soon follow, and lastly a home visit will be conducted by our volunteers.
