Meet Lacie

Lacie – White female, Great Pyrenees/Labrador mix, 6 years, 77 lbs. Miss Lacie has been with us for way longer than she should have been.  We realize that many people looking at the Lab rescue websites are looking for purebred Labrador Retrievers.  Although Lacie has a few physical traits that are Great Pyrenees, she is pure Lab at heart.  We hope that you will actually come meet Lacie to discover for yourself that she is a sweetheart. If you have seen Lacie’s story before, you know that she was dumped along a busy country road.  We aren’t going to repeat that sad story.  Over the months that Lacie has been with her foster family, which includes an admittedly annoying little dog and a cat, she has integrated wonderfully into the pack.  She gives lots of doggie smiles, tail wags and happy wiggles.  She has come to love her daily walks around the neighborhood and has excellent leash manners. She rarely barks and is somewhat low energy.  She is happy to sleep often during the day.  She greets visitors gently at the door and quietly seeks human attention and love.  Lacie’s foster mom describes her as “a gentle giant with a very tender heart and a soft and loving personality.” We think Lacie will fit best in a lower energy home, with a securely fenced yard where she can relax outdoors, and humans who will enjoy short daily walks. If you are interested in making this gentle giant a member of your family, please fill out your application at labrescuefresno.org.  Lacie is just waiting to love on her own family!    If you are interested in adopting through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno, you must first fill out an Adoption Application located at our website www.LabRescueFresno.org All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines including rabies; flea/tick topical drops, heartworm tested and microchipped.
