His family is heartbroken to rehome him due to their child’s severe allergies, but they want to find him a loving and understanding owner. About Caesar: Breed: German Shepherd/Husky mix Age: 4 years old Gender: Male (not neutered) Color: Brown & black Vaccinations: Up to date Training: Crate trained & potty trained Temperament: Loyal, affectionate, and protective once he bonds with someone Other Pets & People: Initially wary of new people and animals—he may growl or bark at first but becomes very loving once comfortable Resource Guarding: Protective of his food and toys, so needs an experienced owner who can manage this behavior Ideal Home for Caesar: Caesar would thrive in a home with an experienced dog owner who understands slow introductions and is patient with him as he builds trust. Adoption Process
Adopters fill out a 2-page questionnaire, interview with a staff person, and pay the adoption fee. We are in the process of transitioning to "open adoptions" with few formalized requirements. The full adoption fees are approximately $160 for dogs and $110 for cats, but we have regular 'specials'.
