Meet Max

Max spent most of his life chained to a wall...it took us over a year for the owners to surrender him to us and only after we found out the owners left him abandoned in an old goat pen at their "weekend home" in the mountains...temps have been down to 20 and he had no bed or blanket.  His food and water was disgusting; This huge teddy bear needs love!  And lots of it!  We have fully vetted Max; he is now neutered, microchipped and up to date on all shots including Rabies.  Max is a sweet boy and would love the company of another dog.  The family he belonged to had a load of children, so he has been around them with no problem.  He is VERY strong though!  He needs more training to not pull on a leash (his foster has been 'quading' him around the ranch!), so he does need a strong owner that can handle him.  He truly is a gentle giant who greets everyone he meets with a wiggly tail and giant smile!  Max's adoption fee is $450 and is fully tax deductible.  For more information on Max, please call or text his foster Julie at (951) 258-3771.  To fill out an application, please go to www.greendogfoundation.org.

Adoption Process
For adults, there is a $400 adoption fee; for puppies that have been born within the rescue, there is a $500 fee. The adoption fee covers all vaccinations (including Rabies), Microchipping, Spay/Neuter, and anything else that may be needed for the animal to be as healthy as it can be (dental, tumor removal, etc.)
