Northern California Family Dog Rescue

Family Dog Rescue was founded in January 2010 by a group of people who have many years of experience with a wide variety of rescue and shelter organizations. An important part of our mission is to help families with children adopt dogs, instead of using breeders, as these families often have a difficult time adopting from municipal shelters because of restrictions required by the shelters. We rescue almost all types of dogs including bully breeds and we make it a point to provide appropriate veterinary care. We often take dogs who have medical issues, or are deaf or otherwise "less than perfect".

Meet Ellie

Ellie is one of the sweetest and most affectionate shepherds we've ever met! This good girl was found in poor condition with her puppies, and luckily the family was rescued and brought into our care. She is now ready to find a forever family of her very own to love on and spoil her! She is great with humans of all ages and easily makes friends with other dogs. She will be a wonderful adventure companion to an active home that will bring her along for all of their hikes and park days! Apply to adopt this sweetheart today. Adoption donation is $495. A mandatory spay appointment is included with adoption.

We require an application, an adoption fee and a contract. In some cases, we'll require a home visit
