Meet Riggs
Meet Riggs: Your Charming, Clever Companion Goofy and smart all in one GSP? Yep, that’s Riggs! This vibrant 1-year-old GSP is not just a handsome face; he’s a quick learner, tackling doggy puzzles with impressive speed—solving them on his first try. Riggs is becoming a pro at many enrichment-based activities, as he recovers from a paw injury that required a toe amputation when he entered the rescue. He can’t wait for his foot to fully heal so he can run and play with his forever family, like we know he can! Riggs is friendly with all the dogs that he has met and he really wants to play. Riggs is a star student! In just one week, he’s mastered essential training cues like sit, down, come, place, wait and leave it. He’s a treat-motivated learner, so continued training in his new home will be a breeze. This affectionate boy thrives on human connection. Whether you’re tending to your garden or whipping up a meal, Riggs will be your loyal shadow, eager to be involved in every moment. He craves attention and thrives on being part of the family dynamic. Riggs is searching for a compassionate home committed to his ongoing recovery, consistent training and playful nature. If you’re ready to experience the exceptional qualities that make GSPs so beloved, Riggs is waiting to steal your heart. He’s a testament to the breed’s intelligence, loyalty and unwavering enthusiasm for life. Our adoption process begins with our adoption questionnaire: https://norcalgsprescue.org/adoption-questionnaire/ (Please note that we adopt primarily within Northern California and our minimum age for kids is 6) If you'd like to see what Rigg's been up to, check out his posting in the Available Foster Dogs section: https://norcalgsprescue.org/available-dogs/.
