Meet Payton – Sweet and Shy, But Worth the Wait!Payton is a 9-month-old spayed female Doberman with a heart full of love and a gentle spirit. While she’s a bit shy and slow to warm up, she’s a couch potato and a love-bug once she feels comfortable. Payton enjoys peaceful moments, snuggling up for a nap, and soaking up all the cuddles you’re willing to give.Though she can be timid at first, Payton’s true personality shines through once she gains your trust. She’s a reserved but sweet girl who loves to follow you around, and her gentle nature makes her a wonderful companion. She’s also treat-motivated and enjoys snacks, toys (especially durable ones), and walkies.Payton gets along well with other dogs and did wonderfully with the Labrador and children (8 and 9 years old) she was around during her time in a temporary foster home. However, due to her reserved nature, she would thrive best in a quiet home with older children who understand her need for calm and gentle interaction. Having another dog around might help her come out of her shell and gain more confidence.Payton would love a family that provides lots of cuddles, walks, and love, and in return, she’ll be the loyal, sweet companion you’ve been looking for.Come meet Payton at Santa Barbara County Animal Services and give this shy but wonderful girl the chance to show you her affectionate side!
