Meet Rootbeer, the adoptable chocolate colored hunk of a dog. We donât know much about his past but he brought a refreshing air to the Shelter since his arrival. He enjoys his time socializing with staff and volunteers and even has gone to play group with some other pups. Rootbeer is known as a herbal tonic with a long history of medicinal benefits. Adopt this Rootbeer to cure all that ails you today!Rootbeerâs adoption fee is reduced to $75 as he is considered a senior pup (6 years and older!)Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
