Doggie Protective Services

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization based in So. CA who has established chapters outside of the area to attempt to place more of the dogs that are dying in the shelters in So. CA. Many areas do not have small breed dogs and we transport and meet with potential adopters because So. CA is deluged in small breed dogs.

Meet Train: Monorail

Adoption Fee: $700   The Train Puppies are a litter of 8 week old Chihuahua x Pug mixes. A whole litter of Chug-a Chuga Chuga Cute-choo cuteness for the world to fall in love with! The litter is 4 boys and 3 girls. We expect the puppies to stay small when fully grown, so expect 10-15 pounds of adult cuteness.    These puppies are curious, confident puppies who love to play with their foster brother and sisters, and they also love to cuddle with their fosters whenever they get the chance.  The puppies’ routine consists of getting up around 7:00 am, play while their foster mom cleans their pen and then they have their breakfast. They play some more after breakfast and then settle down for a nap.  They will wake back up a few hours later to play. As with all puppies, its all about, eating, sleeping, pooping and peeing! They do eat 3 times a day, so their second meal is around 4:00 pm followed by their last meal around 8 or 9 pm.  They settle into their pen at night as they all sleep together at around 11:00pm.  They now have run of their foster family’s family room during the day and also play in the backyard to get some sunshine.  It’s been so much fun watching them grow and watching their personalities develop.   Amtrak: Amtrak is a snuggly and loving girl who wants nothing more than to spend her days cuddling with her people. Amtrak figured out puppy dog eye mastery on day one in her foster home and loves to flip over on her back while being held like a baby for nonstop cuddles. Amtrak has a gorgeous white splotch on her chest which is as unique as she is. This girl promises a lifetime of adventures as wide ranging as her train routes are for her new family.  Caltrain: Caltrain is the solo fawn pup of this litter and that’s not where his charm ends! This goofy boy keeps everyone laughing in his foster home with his love of toys and fantastic antics. Caltrain loves to snack on his routes to and from the backyard and his play pen. This guy can’t wait to live the California life with his new family and promises kisses and playtime forever!  Hogwarts: Hogwarts is a very sweet boy, who is always looking for your attention.  He is adorable and just goes with the flow.  One look at him and your heart will melt for those big pug puppy dog eyes. He loves spending time with his siblings and foster family.  When you enter the room, his bouncy walk will come running your way. He will definitely brighten your day.  Monorail: This little girl is a sweetheart who loves to cuddle and keep her siblings in check.  She is as cute as can be and always the first to ask to be picked up and cuddle.  She always is the first to come running when she hears your voice.  Monorail loves to try new things and loves to cuddle every chance she gets. She is not afraid to give you her opinion when things don’t go his way.   If you’re looking for a puppy that is full of personality, Monorail will fit the criteria.  She will always keep you entertained and enjoy being a part of your family!! Orient Express: Orient may be the little caboose of the Train Litter but she has a personality big enough to fill the snowy countryside! This girl loves to set the agenda for the day amongst her siblings and get them into adorable mischief! She loves her snacks like any good Pug mix so training her will be as easy as a flick of your conductor’s baton. Orient can’t wait to find her final stop at your house and promises to bring a bundle of happiness and kisses to her new family!  Polar Express: This sweet quiet boy is a joy.  He’s the observer of the bunch.  You will find him watching what is going on and then joining in.  He’s one of quieter ones, but don’t let that fool you.  He will be in the middle of the action in no time.  He loves his toys and hanging out with his siblings.  And if he notices you’re not too busy, he will be asking to be picked up to just lay beside you.  Polar is such a love bug. Thomas the Train: Thomas the Train is the leader of his siblings and the trainyard! He loves to lead the charge out of the puppy pen in the morning to the backyard for playtime before running to the food bowl when it’s time for food. This guy has such a love for life that makes it impossible not to fall in love with him. Thomas can’t wait to have the starring role in his new home and promises if you choo-se him you will be overjoyed!  The Train Puppies are only an option for those homes who have owned a dog in the past 5 years. We will be looking for individual homes for each puppy as we do not place littermates together. Kids in the home should be over the age of 6.
