Meet Cello

This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, June 1st from 12-3pm or until adopted. If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.   Adoption Fee: $800 Cello is a 1 year old Cocker Spaniel x Poodle mix who is looking forward to creating musical magic with you! Cello came to us from the shelter where she was dumped by her former home. She was horribly matted when she joined our rescue so we quickly took a trip to the groomer, knowing she would feel so much better after she left her old life behind. Cello weighs 14 pounds and is simply gorgeous, with fabulous markings and long eyelashes. She has a non-shedding coat which will require regular grooming. She is an option for those with allergies or who want less hair around the house.    Cello is a loving and sweet girl looking for her orchestra! She has been slowly learning how to enjoy all the wonderful things in life and it has been a joy to watch her blossom. Cello has wonderfully kind eyes that draw you in from the moment you meet her. She loves following her people around the house, keeping an eye on you as you go about your day, but she is also happy to entertain herself when she needs to. Cello has begun investigating toys and carries around a soft plush whenever she sees one nearby. Cello is a perfect lower energy pup who would be an amazing WFH companion. She would love to check out the outdoors with you by her side! Cello promises that if you love her, she will provide a lifetime of faithful companionship and plenty of kisses. In fact, she’ll even throw in the kisses for free! From the first bat of her eyelashes, we know you will fall instantly in love with our Cello.  Cello wakes up around 7 AM, goes out to the restroom, and then eats breakfast in her pen. She spends most of the day napping and observing the activities of her house. She isn’t really interested in her furry foster siblings, and could go to a home as a solo pup or with friends. She does mirror her confident foster sister though! She’s pretty go with the flow! She eats dinner around 5, and goes out to the bathroom a few more times before turning in for the night. She currently sleeps in a bed in her pen.  Cello lives with dogs in her foster home and cohabitates well. She would love a confident fur sibling to help continue her socialization. Cello goes out to the bathroom about every 3 ish hours, and is doing well on potty training through the use of her pen. She needs continued work on leash training through building up her confidence that the world isn’t all that scary! If you are looking for a darling little girl to give you kisses for the rest of your days, Cello is the one for you! She is deserving of all the love you have to give her and will give it all right back.    Cello is an option for homes that have had a dog of their own as an adult. If there are any children in the home they should be over the age of 10. 

Adoption Process
We require an application from anyone who is interested in adopting. Then we require a phone interview, followed by a meeting in person. Then if the animal is a match, we have a contract and our adoption fee which is $400.
