Doggie Protective Services

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization based in So. CA who has established chapters outside of the area to attempt to place more of the dogs that are dying in the shelters in So. CA. Many areas do not have small breed dogs and we transport and meet with potential adopters because So. CA is deluged in small breed dogs.

Meet Rolls Royce

Adoption fee: $650 Rolls Royce is an 11 week old cutie. He has a curious and loving nature and is very ready to join his new forever family. He loves playing with his littermates and engages well with all members of his foster family. He has a sly mischievous smile and a sweet pink dot on his nose. He is a smart dog with a soft fluffy coat. He responds well to commands (but he is still a puppy) and is doing pretty well with house training. We think he will make a great family dog or a great companion for any adventurer as he is always looking for ways to play and be involved with his family. Rolls has a super loving heart. He's an absolute darling who charms everyone he meets. His foster family secretly thinks he is the most beautiful of all of his siblings and they're so confused as to why he hasn't been adopted yet! He's all things puppy, in the very best way! Rolls Royce is part of a litter of six that was born in a shelter on October 6, 2022. Since he came to DPS in mid November he has been fostered with littermates. From the moment they arrived in the rescue, this litter was one of the sweetest and most social we have ever had. They've been such a joy. The litter eats Nulo kibble twice a day (around 8 and 5). They are a joyful group that is always playing and exploring. The pups usually wake up around 6:30 and go to bed anytime between 7:30 and 10:30. In between, it's play-snooze-potty break, rinse and repeat! Puppies are only an option for a home that has owned a dog in the last 5 years. If there are children they should be over the age of 6.

Adoption Process
We require an application from anyone who is interested in adopting. Then we require a phone interview, followed by a meeting in person. Then if the animal is a match, we have a contract and our adoption fee which is $400.
