Meet Buffy

Adoption Fee: $800   Buffy is a 5 year old Yorkshire Terrier who was rescued from the shelter with her brother, Brandy. We will be looking for separate homes for each pup. Buffy is a petite gal, clocking in at 8 pounds, so she will be the perfect size for all the adventures ahead for those loving petite pups. Buffy has a non-shedding coat, making her an option for those with allergies. Interested homes should be prepared to discuss their grooming plan.    Below is a note from Buffy’s foster home.   “Buffy is an affectionate, loving, and adorable pup. She loves to snuggle up with me on the couch and show so much affection it is hard to believe she can store it all in her little body. She is a perfect mix of energetic and cuddly. During the day she likes to check out the house and keep track of what’s going on, but she is more than happy to catch her beauty sleep when she can as well. Buffy would be the perfect dog for a home that is looking for a companion to spend their days with, as she adores her people more than just about anything else! From her adorable smile to her hilarious snores to her wiggly tail, Buffy is just the total package!  Buffy wakes up around 8 AM and goes out for a short walk and potty break. She has breakfast around 8:30 AM and then spends her mornings napping on the couch or curled up in her bed as I get some work done. She gets a few potty walks during the day before a longer walk around 5:30 PM. She spends her days exploring the house, playing with toys, napping, and coming to me for snuggles. After dinner at 7:30, we snuggle on the couch as we watch TV before heading to bed.  On walks, Buffy greets other dogs politely when we pass them. She is a total people dog though, and seeks out just about anyone willing to give her pets (and it’s hard to resist a dog with a face as cute as hers)! Buffy is working on her leash skills but loves to follow me around and is very praise-motivated. Buffy is a loving pup who is friendly and loving to everyone she meets and will be such a loving companion to her lucky forever family!”   Buffy is an option for those with prior dog experience, even if that experience is less recent. Kids in the home should be over the age of 8.  

Adoption Process
We require an application from anyone who is interested in adopting. Then we require a phone interview, followed by a meeting in person. Then if the animal is a match, we have a contract and our adoption fee which is $400.
