Meet Chocolate

Adoption Fee: $800   Chocolate is a 3 month old Yorkie x Chihuahua mix who is sweeter than candy! Chocolate and her sister, Rose, were surrendered to our rescue at 7 weeks old as the result of an accidental litter. Chocolate has an adorable Yorkie body and fabulous ears, like a little Dumbo! Chocolate will remain under 12 pounds fully grown. We will be looking for separate homes for Chocolate and her sister.    Below is a note from Chocolate’s foster.  “Chocolate is sweeter than any candy bar and she is cuter than them too! Chocolate  is the perfect blend of puppy: playful when she is up and cuddly when she is ready for a nap. Chocolate loves playing with her toys and with her sister, zooming around their pen with whichever toy has caught her eye for the moment. Chocolate is absolutely hilarious when she gets snuggles as she rolls over with her legs sticking straight up in the air. Chocolate  instantly learned how to use her precious puppy dog eyes to win over everyone she meets, so she will be the talk of the neighborhood for her new home. Ready to make friends with your neighbors? Chocolate will trot right over and introduce herself. This girl is so sweet and can’t wait to meet you! The girls start their day at 8 AM with breakfast as their pen is cleaned. After they eat, they go outside and soak up the sunshine while they chew on their toys. Throughout the day, they play, nap, chase each other, and repeat. They sneak in snuggles whenever they think I’m not looking! They eat lunch at noon and dinner at 5 PM. They spend their evenings snuggling with me as I finish up work and then head to bed in their pen around 9 PM to dream of treats and kisses!  Chocolate has been socialized with dogs of all sizes. She has explored the world in a puppy carrier and has been very polite when she meets new people. She especially loves meeting kids, because they drop yummy snacks! Chocolate would be an absolutely amazing addition to any home, and with a face that cute, how could you resist?”   Chocolate is only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. Kids in the home should be over the age of 7.

Adoption Process
We require an application from anyone who is interested in adopting. Then we require a phone interview, followed by a meeting in person. Then if the animal is a match, we have a contract and our adoption fee which is $400.
