Meet JERRY
United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals. This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. For more information about the pet, the adoption process, or our program please contact the Volunteer Adoption Coordinator listed below. Because animals are adopted/rescued daily, please also check the United Hope for Animals Facebook page to see if an animal is still available OR call the Baldwin Park Shelter at 626-962-3577. When inquiring about an animal, please reference the animal’s ID number. This will enable the volunteer or Baldwin Park employee to locate the status of the pet. Thank you for supporting rescue. Pet Information #A5589331 Jerry is a resilient 4 year old Black and Tan male German Shepherd who was found as a stray and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on October 17. Weighing 56 lbs Jerry seems to have had a very hard life for a while and we are hoping for a kind person or rescue to open their hearts to him. Even after a month of daily meals at the shelter, Jerry is emaciated and very hungry. We want this boy to get the care and love that he so deserves. He has significant hair loss on his back end. The shelter is requiring a health waiver for his weight and skin condition, and a trust waiver since he needs to get healthier before he can be neutered. Calm Jerry is a gentle soul who leans in for petting and comfort. On leash he only pulls slightly, he seems to know “come” and “sit,” and he shows signs of housebreaking. We think this gentle boy was once cared for before life took such a sad turn for him, and we are praying for a miracle for him to get out of the shelter and into a rescue or home where his needs are met.
