Meet Celia and Leonard

Blue skies ahead for Celia and Leonard!  Celia (black and white) and Leonard (brown and white) are a bonded pair that were among several various pure breed dogs that were recently confiscated and ultimately abandoned at the shelter.  The shelter called Boston Buddies and asked us to find the perfect home for these sweet dogs.  Celia and Leonard want to leave those bad memories behind and are now ready to look for a new home to begin their new life.   Celia is a 9-year-old, 24 lbs., lady who is as sweet as they come. Getting scritches and giving kisses is her favorite activity. Celia is friendly with dogs and humans alike.  All she wants is a soft bed, a good meal and some nice walks.  Celia knows basic commands but needs a refresher course as she gets a little excited and forgets to sit when asked. She is house broken and knows how to use a doggie door. She loves toys and bones and when no one is looking she will bury the bone! Treats are her favorite thing in the world.  It looks like Celia has had puppies in her previous life, but she is now spayed. Celia is playful with other dogs but if they push her boundaries, she lets them know! This lady has a lot of spunk and would be a wonderful addition to a home with her brother Leonard.     Leonard is sweet and loving beyond words.  And what a face on this guy!  Leonard is approximately 6 years old and weighs about 18 lbs. – but he could stand to gain a pound or two.  It appears that Leonard has had very little ‘life experience’ and will need to be shown the way of the world through basic obedience training.  Leonard checks in with Celia to reassure himself on what he should do in certain situations. He is very smart and in just a few days he has learned how to walk on a leash and is working quite successfully on his housebreaking training. Leonard has done well with some other dogs but shown that he can be insecure when on a leash and growl.  An attentive and patient follow through will really work with him.   Leonard loves getting neck rubs and head kisses and becomes a total limp biscuit while getting his tummy rubbed.  Leonard is enthusiastic and sweet and will make a wonderful addition to a home that can follow through with training.   Both Celia and Leonard are up to date on shots, altered, heartworm and fecal tested (both negative) and microchipped.  They are being fostered in Los Angeles and are ready for their furever home. If you want to give Celia and Leonard the gift of a new life full of love and kindness head on over to our website and complete an Adoption Application - https://www.bostonbuddies.org/adoption-application/ Adoption Fee: $400/pair
