Meet Blondie
Blondie – Yellow Female, 7-8 years old, 60lbs Well, hello there my new friends! My name is Blondie, and I am as sweet as a Blondie brownie! I am looking for my one and only forever home so I can share all of my sweetness with you. Like a lot of dogs in rescue or shelters, sadly I was surrendered when my family moved…I still don’t understand… I thought I was part of the family!?! Luckily for me, I ended up with the Defenders of Dogs at the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno, but lots of other dogs are not so lucky…Obviously, I am looking for a forever family that truly understands forever means forever. Could it be you? I am a middle-aged girl just the right size for snuggling close. I am a devoted companion who loves my people more than anything. I especially love it when my people pet me – ohhhh it feels so good! I am visually-impaired, but don’t worry, it doesn’t slow me down! I am excellent at mapping my area using my other senses and I get around just fine. In fact, one of my favorite activities is going for a walk. I am house-trained and my foster mom just leaves me loose in the house when she leaves and I have proven myself to be trustworthy and well-behaved in the house without any supervision. I know how to mind my manners! You might say I am practically perfect! I am a real people dog and absolutely adore the company of my people. Ideally, I would like to be an only dog, and be your one and only princess and get all the attention! Cats are a bit too much temptation for me. I may have a tough time seeing them, but I sure can smell them, and I still love a good game of chase! Blondie is a happy, loving girl who has the perfect energy level for a home with adults, or with older children. She is old enough to be past the wild puppy stage, but she still has ample energy for a long walk or play. Blondie enjoys soaking up all the attention from her people, so she would be great as an only dog. If you are looking for a super sweet loyal companion who will always be by your side through the good times and the bad – look no further!
