Meet Petunia

“Though she be but little she is fierce.” Shakespeare sums up our pretty little PETUNIA pretty perfectly! Truly one of a kind, our 3-year-old Boston/Frenchie beauty couldn’t be happier to finally find her very own family, the extra special FUREVER kind!! Petunia came to us from the San Diego Humane Society with some of the most damaged ears we have ever seen due to years of untreated ear infections. After being seen by the specialty vet, Petunia would go on to have total ear canal ablations on BOTH ears…that’s a whole lot for a little bitty lady to go through! Her road to recovery was anything but simple and easy, but Petunia is tough, she is the epitome of strength and grace, and she walked her road with that sweet and quirky pretty Petunia smile on her face. The surgeries did leave her with some nerve damage around her eye causing her to blink abnormally. She will need to be on lubricating eye drops indefinitely. She also has a slight head tilt giving her even more charm and Petunia plus personality! Through the surgeries, the setbacks, and the never-ending cone of shame days, Petunia’s foster mom said she never once lost her spunk! From the moment you meet pretty Petunia she’ll capture your heart; she’s got grit and SO much sweet, she is absolutely adorable, and is a total lover to everyone she meets. Our girl is thriving in her foster home and gets along well with her fellow furry foster friends! Petunia has picked up on all the good indoor girl manners and knows how to use the doggy door, can be your cutest car riding copilot, and can snuggle you better than the very best! Although she does have some loss of hearing from her surgeries, Petunia doesn’t let it stop her—she cruises around just fine and we think she can hear certain vibrations and sounds because she comes when her name is called! Petunia is happy and healthy and anything but ordinary; our super special sweetheart is certain to bring everything extraordinary to your life! Application, Home Visit, Adoption Agreement, Adoption Fees (range from $150-$600 depending on age and medical condition of animal), must return animal to our rescue if no longer able to care for
