Meet Koa

With a face meant for kisses, 11-month-old Koa is slowly settling into the safety and security of his foster home. At 40 white and beige pounds, he’s mellow verging on moderately energetic the more he emerges from his shy puppy shell. Living to love and be loved, Koa adores his fosters’ attention, showing them his paw for affection, then dancing and prancing delightedly about. Friendly and playful, he enjoys engaging with his fellow foster dogs of assorted sizes, growing increasingly comfortable in their company, and gets along well with the resident cats. Mainly motivated by love, he’s currently learning “sit” and “off,” and since these are still early days, is diligently at work on his leash, crate and house-training and puppy manners. Only just starting life’s joyful journey, kissable Koa will thrive in a loving home that will patiently perfect his manners, bolster his confidence, and complete his training, including his commands, in exchange for his own enduring loyalty and love. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $425. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here .
