Animal Rescue of the Rockies

ARR was formed in 2003 to provide an alternative to shelter environments for homeless dogs and cats. By providing foster homes as a temporary measure until forever homes can be found, our pets are socialized and cared for individually.

Meet Grey

Gorgeous in grey tipped with white is gregarious 1.5-year-old Grey. The sleek 52-pound beauty is brimful of puppy-like playfulness, a sweet personality, and a friendly demeanor. Never shy about giving her paw to ask for the love she adores, she even flops her head first before snuggling. Grey loves all toys, especially her ball, is usually surrounded by several of them, likes chewing bones, playing fetch, and going for walks and to the dog park. Initially shy when meeting new people, she walks easily on a leash (only pulling when she sees something exciting) and isn’t a fan of car rides yet. Accepting treats gently, motivated by food, love, and toys, she presently knows “come,” "sit," "off," and “no." Grey is good with kids, fine in a crate (but doesn't need it if you leave her with toys/filled frozen kongs/bones for entertainment), and almost fully house-trained. With much yet to learn and much love to share, Grey hopes to live a long, happy life in a home yard with loving adopters who will bolster her confidence, complete her training, including her commands, and keep her content in every way possible. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $300. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can't accept calls at this time.
