Animal Rescue of the Rockies

ARR was formed in 2003 to provide an alternative to shelter environments for homeless dogs and cats. By providing foster homes as a temporary measure until forever homes can be found, our pets are socialized and cared for individually.

Meet Kaleesi

At 10 years young, Kaleesi couldn’t be sweeter or kinder to those she LOVES! Don't let her age fool you, she's an energetic lady! The friendly 55-pound owner surrender, now safe in her foster home, is passionate about her one special person, in this case her foster mom, rolling over for belly rubs and then dancing and prancing about. Kaleesi loves going on walks, improving her leash skills daily, likes games of fetch, chewing bones and playing with squeaky toys and balls. While she gets along well with dogs of all sizes, her prey drive has her chasing cats! But can we all agree that she wins the "Best Smile" award?!! Motivated by food and toys, she currently knows “come, “sit” and “down,” but having missed out on much of her training, she’s extremely intelligent, eager to please and should prove easy to teach. Fully house-trained, and at work on her manners, Kaleesi will thrive in an active home with loving adopters to perfect her manners, complete her training, including her commands, and ensure that her second life is her best paws-ible life. See more photos and videos here!   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $100. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can't accept calls.
