Paws on the Ground Colorado

Paws on the Ground Colorado was founded in 2016 by a group of dedicated advocates who envisioned a puppy mill free Colorado. We are a 501c3 organization dedicated to ending puppy mill commerce in Colorado. We are helping a local pet store offer rescue puppies & kittens in the store and transition to a humane model, as well as fostering and adopting out animals in need.

Meet Kung Fu Kenny

Meet ~12 week old Kung Fu Kenny, a magical mix who looks like a Brussels Griffon, Lorax or Star Wars character. He is a happy go lucky puppy with typical puppy energy looking for family that has time to play and train a puppy. He is very smart and loves to play fetch. He loves all people, dogs and cats and he’d love to have a four legged friend to play with.

Adoption Process
Dogs and Cats Listed are in foster homes and available for adoption. A person must complete an adoption application, the application is then screened and vet references called. The applicant is then called for an interview. If approved the application is then sent to the foster to set up a meet and greet. If that goes well a home visit is set up for final approval. If approved the adopter must fill out an adoption contract and pay an adoption fee. All animals are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to any adoption.
