Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Papas finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Papas is paws-itively blooming inside his foster home! Still very puppylike at 2 years of age, he’s 32 pounds worth of enthusiasm and energy, sweetness and sociability. Always seeking his fosters’ attention and affection, Papas loves being petted, resting his head on them and then rolling over for the belly rubs he adores. Putting his passion for staying active to good use, he loves running around outside and going for long walks, honing his leash skills along the way, and since he LOVES other dogs, he gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. Papas also loves tough toys that he can chew, particularly stuffed toys and ropes, loves all treats, including jerky-style treats and bones and is, not surprisingly, motivated by food and toys. Highly intelligent, eager to learn and easy to teach, he presently knows “sit,” is at work on more, behaves well uncrated, is almost fully house-trained and is honing his doggy manners. Now all Papas needs is an active home, perhaps with another playful pup already there, and loving adopters who will perfect his manners and complete his training, including his commands, in exchange for his own enduring loyalty and love.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here .
