Meet Lucy

Adorable in caramel and cream wisps, 8-month-old Lucy is 12 pounds of honeyed puppy sweetness! Easygoing and friendly, she loves cuddling and snuggling with her fosters, even dancing about in delight to demonstrate how happy she is. She gets along well with the resident cats, is excellent with similar sized dogs, and being endearingly energetic, likes going for walks, playing with plush toys and chewing on all manner of chew treats and bones. Not a great fan of car rides, she currently knows no commands, but being motivated by love and food, and eager to please, should prove easy to teach. Learning to jump up on people less, she’s already leash trained and is diligently at work on her crate and house training (her dislike of the cold has made this more difficult). Now all lovable Lucy needs is a firm yet gentle “pack leader” to perfect her manners, complete her training, including her commands, and keep her both active and adored always.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $345.  Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption.
