Meet Gita

Introducing Gita, a resilient canine with a heart as strong as her namesake. Much like the character she's named after, Gita has endured hardships but emerged as a shining light and survivor. Found as a stray, she fought to fend for herself, facing starvation until fate led her to safety. Weighing a mere 20 pounds upon rescue, Gita's determination and the care she's received have seen her flourish to 28 pounds in just a month, though she remains thin. Gita, a German Wire-Haired Pointer mix of chocolate brown hue, possesses eyes that captivate with their hazel brilliance. Though her exact age is uncertain, she's a puppy under one year, indicating the potential for further growth and filling out. Despite her past struggles, Gita exudes sweetness and submissiveness, with a gentle disposition that's matched by her modest barking tendencies. Having spent time as a stray and in shelter care, Gita now gleams with the knowledge that she's been rescued, relishing the grandeur of life. However, her journey is far from over. She requires patient training, particularly in areas like potty training, which she missed out on during her earlier struggles. Prospective adopters should be prepared to invest ample at-home time for her development, ideally with a fenced yard to facilitate her exploration and exercise needs. Gita's health is carefully attended to; she's spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested, and free from parasites. Her adoption fee is $200, a small price for the boundless love and companionship she promises to offer. To apply for Gita's adoption, please visit www.misfitsdogrescue.org and fill out an application. Join Gita on her journey to a forever home, where her resilience and radiant spirit will continue to shine brightly.
