Breeder Release Adoption Service

Our organization is dedicated to finding perfect adoptive homes for dogs that breeders are retiring or cannot sell. We work primarily with Yorkshire Terriers and Yorkie mixes, King Charles Cavalier Spaniels and an occasional other small breed. Our foster space is limited to 15 to 20 dogs a month with new arrivals monthly. All of the dogs are spayed/neutered, brought up to date on vaccines and dentals done as needed. We have been rescuing Yorkies for several years and with a small team of dedicated volunteers and a wonderful veterinary team, we have placed over 400 dogs in their forever homes. We strive to place our rescued dogs in the perfect home for each individual dog. If a home visit is not possible, we will ask you to send pictures of where the dog will live, sleep and play. Yorkies can, and usually do become aggressive with small children so we do not place them in homes with children under 10 years old. They are companion animals and have been denied that human companionship while in the breeding programs so we want them to become the center of their new parent’s world and usually require a stay at home parent.King Charles Cavaliers are more relaxed with children but they will be placed on a case by case basis if there are children in the home. We require an application which we will email to you and an adoption contract at the time of adoption.

Biography Important Information Please read! If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children and we do not know how they will react. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location. Hi! My name is Andrew, and I am a little Yorkie boy who was born 2/3/16, and I weigh 7 pounds. I have been shaved for the summer but my coat will grow out and I will be stunning! I need a quiet home with a sibling to learn from and lots of your love. If you have been waiting for a little Yorkie boy, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org. Love, Andrew 031823-30
