Meet Mandy
From Mandy's foster mom: Mandy made her way to Colorado from a reservation and is seeking a good life; a life full of adventures and cuddles and love. What Mandy loves: Other dogs, especially those that love to play and engage with Mandy who loves to run zoomies and play chase. She appears to be okay with cats (we have encountered some on our walks and she ignores them). Mandy likes children, but I suggests that they are past toddler age as Mandy is still a rambunctious puppy. Mandy loves, loves toys and will play fetch. Considering her young age, she does quite well with bringing the ball back. The baby pool is one of her favorite play time activities and, of course, she loves got go on walks and has the typical puppy curiosity. Mandy sleeps quietly in the crate through the night and loves to eat her food there without disturbance from other dogs. She is not food aggressive, but probably learned to be protective of her food growing up on the rez. Bonuses: Mandy is not destructive and does not mind spending time in the crate, which she keeps clean. She does well on the leash and stays on the sidewalk, and has no issues having her nails trimmed. This little girl is very smart and picks up new commands quickly. She knows her name and comes when called. Overall, Mandy will make a fantastic adventure pup with her love for walks and swimming! And check out those EARS! I bet she can hear people talking about her on Mars!
Adoption Process
Dogs and Cats Listed are in foster homes and available for adoption. A person must complete an adoption application, the application is then screened and vet references called. The applicant is then called for an interview. If approved the application is then sent to the foster to set up a meet and greet. If that goes well a home visit is set up for final approval. If approved the adopter must fill out an adoption contract and pay an adoption fee. All animals are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to any adoption.
